  • Identifiability of parameters in distributed systems and parameter identification of DPS models (including linear and non-linear)
  • Optimal sensor and actuator location problems for DPS (fixed, scanning and moving sensors)
  • Optimum experimental design for static and dynamic systems identication. Signal processing techniques.
  • Numerical methods for partial differential equations including finite element and finite difference methods. Computer simulation of real physical processes.
  • Planning optimal collision-free motions for multiple vehicles and redundant manipulators. Optimal control methods applied in robotics. Static and dynamic optimization problems.
  • Artificial intelligence: artificial neural networks with applications in optimization and control, celular automata as a means for modelling real systems.
